All 4 Adventure - Series 1 | The Original Kimberley | Unleashed TV
In this 10-part series, Jase Andrews and his original sidekick Roddo take you to one of the most remote and hostile places in the world – the Kimberley in Western Australia. Walcott Inlet is the final destination, but just getting there is an adventure in itself. First, they travel 3800 kms from Noosa in Queensland to the Gibb River Road in the Kimberley. For twelve hours, they tackle 500 kilometres of the Gibb with a 2-tonne boat and trailer before heading down an old ‘goat track’ which weaves another 230 kms to Munja Camp. From there, they are able to launch their tinnie to travel 40 kilometres up the Walcott Inlet into the Isdell River. The spectacular Walcott Inlet and its rock bars are known for both their dangerous 11-metre tides and huge barramundi. Make a mistake here, and it could cost you your life. But the boys don’t stop there. They then tow the big boat to Kalumburu and launch at Napier Broom Bay. They explore hundreds of kilometres of the breathtaking Kimberley coast. Always in search of the elusive metre-plus barra, they also catch mud crabs by hand, have some camp-oven cook-ups, and even come across a World War II plane wreck all in this exciting original Kimberley adventure.
